Bike to Work Day is back on Friday, May 17!
On Bike to Work Day, thousands in the DC Metro area will leave their car at home and come together as a community to try biking. Join the fun and register for your nearest pit stop! Below, we’ve included all of the most frequently asked questions about Bike to Work Day:

What do I get for participating?
Each pit stop will have food, giveaways and more to celebrate Bike to Work Day. When you register for and attend your nearest pit stop you can expect:
- Free food and beverages (while supplies last)
- Great giveaways to support your bike commute, plus the annual Bike to Work Day t-shirt
- Games, activities, freebies and more from local vendors and retailers
Why bike to work?
Commuting by bike promotes a more physically active and sustainable lifestyle. Plus, you’ll save a lot of money compared to other modes of transportation!

What if I don’t own a bike?
Try Capital Bikeshare from your nearest docking station right across the street from The Point at Reston on Roland Clarke Place! Single rides are available starting at $0.05 per minute. 24-hour passes and annual memberships are also available.
